About Exercise Bikes Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Summary: great choice 2008-06-28
Comment: I just received my bike today and absolutely am 100% happy with my choice. I spent a long time looking for a bike that suited me and was comfortable. I was only able to try the 130 in person, not the 131. Bought the 131 from here and had it shipped 1 day (a great choice for this item). Sending it quicker had it bouncing around less, and with prior reviews, there was lots of damage in transit. The box came banged up, the styrofoam was broken, but the bike was completely fine. Maybe if I used standard shipping things would have been worse. It was easy to assemble by myself and I was using it within an hour. The programs are fun and challenging with various levels to choose from. The screen is so easy to read (even in a darker room). I highly recommend giving this bike a try!

Summary: Very Nice Exercise Bike 2008-04-27
Comment: If you are looking for an easy to assemble, quiet bike, look no further. This bike went together very easy. It only took about 45 minutes to assemble. I use it in front of a large screen TV. During my exercise routine I make more noise then the bike does.
It clearly is not a racing trainer, or spinning bike, but it is very nice for the daily use I put it through. Lots of programs and levels to keep your training routine varied. Very happy with my purchase.
Good Luck!

Summary: Great bike for the money 2008-04-12
Comment: The bike arrived via super saver in 2 days and in terrific condition. All the parts were there and the bike was fairly easy to assemble.
I've only been using it for a few days but this bike is definitely the best option in this price range. The drive mechanism is terrific and the workout programs (including the heart rate-controlled workout) are above comparable bikes. It feels sturdy for an inexpensive bike and the seat is more comfortable than the Lifecycle 9500 at my gym. Anyway, if you have a seat style you like all you have to do is screw it on--it has a standard post.
Overall, a terrific buy.

Summary: Showed up & worked like a charm 2008-04-07
Comment: Was a little worried after reading other reviews of bad parts / super damaged boxes, super hard seats, etc, but all turned out well. The box showed up at my door early this morning, partially dented and torn, but nothing more than i would expect from any delivery company shipping a large box. Took just over an hour to setup and get riding, seat wasn't hard, and everything worked correctly on the bike... :) no complaints.
