I agree with almost everything been sad about this bike. Bought it at HSN for $499.
It's a well built bike with a very smooth ride. After about a month noise start coming from breakpads. Headphones with music can't even help to block it.
Good luck calling PROFRM customer service or trying to send e-mails. No response.
I also posted a negative review for this bike on their site, but they are not showing it. They sent me new breaks, but they are the same quality, so I expect the same type of noise after sometime.

My Proform 590SPX arrived Apr. 4, 2012 as Amazon indicated and was excited putting it together. Package requires two people with the weight.

Those good reviews are most likely from Icon staff.
Upon assembling, I can hear some loose metal and end up opening plastic cover to ensure no moving parts will get damage such as belt, etc. First open the belt cover a small washer fell off but metal sound still exist when bike get move. Proceed with opening the bike frame cover and several chunks of metal shard fell off. Re-tilt and more metal waste fell and this time no loose screw sound.

Ignored it as I was too excited to use it, so went ahead and assembled the handlebar, but handlebar doesn't lock securely in place and the handlebar locking lever is facing the rider not outwards as shown in picture preventing the handlebar from moving closer to the rider due to lever touching the stem.
Still ignore it which I was planning to find a fix.

Bike is built well. Seat is hard. It pedals very smoothly; however, breakpads squeal when adding tension. That is disappointing. Also, you have to buy Polar transmitter separately to get that to work. Had I known about the breakpad squealling, and if all of these models have the tendency to do this, then I would have spent a little more to get a bike with better breaks.
