Amazon.com Product Description
The modern-looking Revolution Cycle Pro II is designed for an energetic and challenging workout, with such features as a direct-drive resistance system, an emergency stop brake system, and an adjustable seat and handlebars. Unlike with road bikes, the 39.6-pound balanced flywheel on the Revolution Cycle Pro II doesn't continue to spin if the rider stops pedaling. Instead, the rider slows the flywheel and controls the tension with a tension knob, helping the bike adapt to people with different intensity needs. The direct-drive system, meanwhile, lets the rider pedal either forward or backward during the workout, with a quick-stop handle serving as an instant brake for changing directions or in case of emergency. Most importantly, the Revolution Cycle Pro I is biomechanically efficient, with a two-way adjustable seat post that moves vertically and horizontally while you're mounted on the bike, along with an adjustable handlebar. As a result, you can drop the saddle down and out of the way to work the inner thigh, or perform other legwork off the back of the bike.

Other details include a heavy-duty brake pad resistance system with center-pull brake pads, front wheels for easy transport, sturdy toe clips made of the same alloy materials used in off-road racing, a heat-treated axle, a water bottle, and a weight capacity of 250 pounds. The Revolution Cycle Pro II measures 24 by 42.5 by 42.3 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 113 pounds.

About Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Summary: Great buy 2010-02-07
Comment: This bike is a great buy for the price. It is very substantial and the heavy weight lets you be able to get up out of the saddle without worrying about the bike tipping over. Assembly was easy. The seat is not very comfortable but we bought another one at a bike store and it wasn't too expensive. It's pretty easy to move even though it's a heavy bike. Adjusting the seat is a little tough. You have to use your whole weight to move up or down.

Summary: A Spinner bike that is Built to Last 2010-02-05
Comment: Purchased the Phoenix 98623 Revolution exercise bike for my girlfriend, but I get to use it to. Love this bike. It is thoughtfully engineered, heavy duty where it counts, and will probably last a lifetime. Definitely worth the price. I know you can pay thousands for spinner bikes, but not sure what more I could ask for than this $600 wonder. My only complaint is that (like all spinners) the seat is a tad hard and uncomfortable, at least for me and my friend. We solved that by buying an inexpensive gel seat cover.

Comment: Bike is just what we wanted. The only problem is it arrived with a badly bend support bracket...haven't contacted Amazon or Phoenix yet to try and replace it.

Summary: Great Bike for the Price 2009-03-31
Comment: I am very pleased with this spinning bike. I have been spinning at my local YMCA for 4 years and decided a bike for home would be great because my schedule was conflicting with class times at the gym on occasion. This bike is sturdy, smooth and comfortable. The assembly took about 30 minutes. This is a great bike for the money. My only complaint is that the tension knob is too close to the frame. It's not a problem just not quite as easy as the ones I am used to. All in all, a great purchase.

Summary: Disappointed 2009-03-08
Comment: I was so excited for my bike! I did quite a bit of research and read all of the positive reviews on Amazon. The box it arrived in was not damaged at all, and it seemed to be packaged well surrounded by styrofoam. However there are several dents in the metal. Some of them are only cosmetic and I was willing to overlook. The quick release knob was broken, which the company was willing to mail another at no cost. But there is no use replacing it now... the handlebars will only go down to a certain height because the base the handlebars fit in is bent inward. I am so annoyed with it all and don't even want to deal with returning it. ( I live up a couple flights of stairs and don't want to ask another person to help me carry the 125 lb. bike again to ship it back.) Hopefully I will continue to take my frustration out on riding the bike and I will get my $500 use out of it. I'm just confused on how the company can box up a bike with so many obvious bent pieces.
