There is nothing wrong with my bike, the friction created by the pedalling makes it get hot. So beware when you touch it to put it away! Also, so yourself a favor and rub a little Vaseline or oil the pieces where they fit into the cylinder, because otherwise it'll start squeaking rather noisily.
It is a decent exercise machine, if you can find something to put under it. Even thick carpet won't stop this bad boy from moving around.

Bought to rehab knee. The computer that tracks time, etc. failed in three days. Not a battery problem, the receiver just not picking up rotations. Also, the tension gives up after a few minutes, you have to put the device against a wall or furniture to keep it from moving, and after 10 minutes the friction causes the pedal shafts to get VERY hot ... would burn a young child.

I even put my kid's filled toy box against it and it still moved. Finally I had no other choice than to push it up against a wall. The display that is supposed to show calories, minutes etc falls off several times while in use and even when it does stay on it will automatically reset itself. The other day I looked at it and it was reading 25:04 minutes. I pedaled for about another minute or two and looked down and it read 1:08 minutes. So it has reset itself several times.. The knob that controls the tension will not stay tight at all and continues to loosen as you pedal, making it a totally worthless workout b/c there is no tension at all. Finally today as I was pedaling and having to stop every 45 seconds (no lie) to tighten the knob, I noticed black pieces of plastic falling out from between the knob and the part it...Read more
