I have bought two sets of these mats for my gym equipment. The first set held up very well so I bought another set to cover more ground. Good for both indoor and outdoor. I had the first set outdoors for about a year and they look just as good as the newer set after some cleaning. They haven't broken down at all as far as cushioning for impact. The price fluctuates on Amazon so I'd say just watch them for a while and make your own decision. The shipping is a little bit of a kicker but I think it's still worth it.

Apex High-Impact Flooring Mat
WONDERFUL. Easy to put together and since it is in large sqaures,which fit together,it was quite easy to slide under the Treadmill. Seems to be working just fine.

Shipping cost seemed a little high but it is worth it for these mats that are protecting my wood floors very well. The only brand that offered 6 mats including edging (most only include 4 mats). I would buy these again.
