About Massage Tables In recent years, the healing powers of what were once considered "fringe" practices have found their way into mainstream health care. Western interest in alternative medicines has steadily grown over the last three decades, most impressively through the spread of massage therapy. This form of therapy provides numerous benefits for health, fitness, and mental well-being. Massage improves circulation, increasing blood and lymph flow throughout the body. It stimulates the nervous system, affects internal organs, and helps heal sore muscles. Massage therapy is a form of medical practice that demands continued, licensed education and practice. Almost all forms of massage therapy require a massage table or chair. Although the chairs are more compact, a table is the only way to deliver a complete, thorough body massage. The height and design of massage tables should allow therapists access to a patient's entire body, all the while keeping the patient comfortable in an ergonomically correct position. Without a proper massage table, the patient may be left to lie, sit, or stand in an uncomfortable position, completely negating the benefits of the therapy. Also, therapists simply cannot leverage all of their skills and training without a high, sturdy, and easily maneuverable table. A good massage table is also necessary for budding massage therapists. Without the proper training equipment, amateur massage therapists will have little luck improving their massage skills. Massage therapy administered correctly with the right equipment can relieve stress, pain and discomfort, and a good table is an important start.

I have used this table for 9 months with my very busy mobile therapy business. It is a great table because of its light weight and slightly smaller size. The face slot is comfortabe, but my only complaint is the foam, as it does start to compress after heavy use. I would be a good table for personal use and for moderate professional use.

Disliked table. Each time table was set-up, legs had to be attached by the support rods. This was not an easy process nor done quickly. The face hole in table was not useful to me and was very uncomfortable. 1 Star for this item is too much for my usage and review. I sent it back.

Good massage table if it fits your needs.,

I found this to be a good table for my personal needs at a fabulous price. I shopped all over the web and this is definitely the best deal. It's lightweight because it's a little short and skinny. I prefer it short and skinny so I can store it easily in a small room. Check the measurements to make sure it's long enough for what you want. I like extra-extra smooshy padding, so I added a cheap foam pad from Walmart over the table and put a twin size sheet over that, but you wouldn't have to do that if you like a regular massage table feel. I don't use it as a portable table, so I'm not sure how convenient it would be to take down and up. It is probably better as a personal massage table, not as a "professional" table. I have a larger table in my office where I work. Hope this helps!
