The X1 is built around an adaptable training computer with an easy-to-read LCD display. The computer makes it easy to set specific goals or follow preset programs (including a heart rate control option), or you can opt for the manual setting, which allows you to choose from more than 70 resistance levels. The X1 also automatically reads your pulse via the wireless Polar T34 heart rate transmitter (included), and then creates a pulse rate range for your fitness needs, whether you want to burn fat or stay in the correct fitness zone.

Technology-wise, the X1 is equipped with Kettler's eSYS system and Induktions Braking System. The eSYS system allows for perfect ergonomic, biomechanical, and electronic adjustments for everyone from novices to experts. The Induktions Braking System, meanwhile, offers an adaptable manual or programmable 25- to 400-watt electromagnetic resistance range that not only supports 75 training levels, but is also friction-free, so it won't wear out the brake components. Other features include a sturdy powder-coated frame with a low step-through design, handy transport wheels, toe-strap pedals, adjustable multi-position handlebars, and a Quick Adjust gel saddle and seat post.
