I was very disappointed with the Ironman Speed Jump Rope. It is made of cheap plastic and, even after a month of hanging from my 2nd floor banister with a weight on the end, it's still coiled and kinked. It's impossible to jump with it as you never know when one of the kinks will bump the bottom of your foot. I would not buy it again, even for the low price charged by Amazon.

I do serious speed work at least 4 times a week for 30-40 minutes. I love this rope. I got probably 6 or 8 months (can't quite remember), and it broke last night. Broke off where it attaches to handle. It's a design flaw, because it's impossible to fix it. However, at $5.99, I feel like "noted". So I'm buying 4 more, and I know that I'm good for 2 years.
I will say that I think this rope is for really good speed jumpers. It's very light weight, so the faster you jump, the better. Beginners or slow intermediates should try a slightly heavier rope.
But for me - I LOVE IT.

This this is perfect. I like the small handles and the rope is just the right weight for a good, fast workout.
