This mat literally stinks,

This mat emits a rubbery/petroleum odor that is intolerable. A bought the mat to use in my house for light weight lifting. After about a day I had to put it outside the smell was so bad. I used a power washer, various chemicals and left it outside for over two weeks. I tried to use it again, but after a week I had to put it back outside. The smell had diminished, but it was still pretty strong. The mat is back outside and is still smelly. If the sun warms it up, the odor intensifies. I am still hanging on to it to see if I can find an outdoor use for it. I will not bring that thing back in the house. I cannot recommend this product for use inside.

I've used 20+ of these mats in my shop and in my workout room. At first, I was slightly offended by the smell of curing rubber, but after a couple weeks, the scent was minimal. By a month-and-a-half, I could only smell it if I put my nose to it.
I've been using these now for eight (8) years - durability and utility is GREAT.
At 60 lbs per mat, they are a struggle to haul around and set out, but once in place, they are super easy to put up with. Resilient shop flooring spares my feet when standing at long jobs and it spares equipment in the workout/weight room.
great weight training matt,

If you purchase these matts with the foam puzzle piece inserts to put underneath and you have one of the best work out matts, that also feels and looks professional. i am able to drop weights if needed to on tile with absolutly no worries. but only if you get the foam puzzle matts.
