Whether you're young or old, in peak condition or just committing to a healthier lifestyle, cycling is one of the most enjoyable ways to improve your overall health. But cycling outdoors on a rainy day can be a drag. Enter the ARG 2.0 AR recumbent exercise bike, which keeps the health advantages intact while adding such features as seven easy-to-use programs, exclusive FreeSPIN technology, and an ultra-smooth 18-pound flywheel. Like all of AFG's exercise bikes, the 2.0 AR is equipped with a quiet, reliable magnetic braking system with a wide range of resistance settings (10, to be precise). As a result, you can increase or decrease your workout intensity mid-workout to get the most from your routine. The bike's FreeSPIN technology, meanwhile, separates the heavy-duty flywheel from the pedals. This lets you coast safely after you stop pedaling, eliminating the jarring stops that often place undue stress on your joints. And riders of all shapes and sizes will appreciate the bike's step-through recumbent design, which includes an easily adjustable seat with special lumbar support.
Workout-wise, the 2.0 AR offers seven options to meet your fitness needs: manual, intervals, weight loss, rolling hills, cadence, random, or custom. Plus, tracking your workout progress couldn't be easier thanks to the three LED screens, which let you monitor key data on the fly. Other details include contact heart rate grips on the handlebars; a commercial-style frame that doesn't tip or shake like lesser machines; and a weight capacity of 300 pounds.
The 2.0 AR recumbent bike includes an intuitive console and an adjustable seat with lumbar support.

This review is from: AFG 2.0 AR Recumbent Exercise Bike (Sports)
I purchased this bike for my elderly father upon his discharge from hospital/transitional nursing home care. We needed something to continue his strength training at home, and this bike was perfect for exercising and keeping his interest by watching television while he was riding it. It is very similar to higher end and much more expensive models used by therapy offices and health clubs. I found myself using it as well and actually stuck with it! It is so easy to use, and there are a variety of programs to keep you interested. It was fun to pace myself to a 20 minute DVD at first, working up in time increments from there. The bike is extremely solid, and the seat is comfortable. I shopped all over town for one of these bikes, but did not find one that measured up to this one in quality, and the price was actually less than some of the inferior models I tested.
